Have you been baffled by WordPress? You feel like the whole idea of starting a WordPress blog is overwhelming? You probably think, YEAH RIGHT, why would I use WordPress when there are so many other options – that are free.
I thought this too at one point… I never knew just how advantageous WordPress could be for my business and my ability to make money online! I didn’t want to invest my time or money into it, until one day I was locked out of Instagram for liking too many photos too frequently. ::side eye:: To top it off with the constant changes to Facebook and Instagram’s algorithms, My blog traffic wasn’t increasing no matter how many times I shared it on those sites. I was in a constant state of frustration. Realizing I didn’t make the rules, the most I could do was complain about them. I simply wasn’t comfortable with Facebook and Instagram having that much control over my business and my ability to make money online. It’s the reason I chose WordPress over Blogger, Wix and SquareSpace. Read the Squarespace ToS or Wix ToS yourself. (Please note, you DO NOT have to be doing something illegal for your website to be shut down. They can change their terms without your knowledge and remove your website if they so choose.) I knew it was time to own my platform…
& I regret not starting sooner!!!!

If you don’t know, storage and security are a huge concern to bloggers. WordPress is more than just website, it’s a Content Management System. With it, I am able to store and secure my files and conduct backups to recover my data should anything go wrong. Instagram certainly does not have that kind of power nor does it offer any support when it’s users’ accounts get hacked. It’s shocking! Anyone can spy on all of your Instagram stories and followers and media you’ve shared via chat. I mean, Facebook’s privacy breach scandal is widely known, so none of us should really be THAT shocked… but if you gasped and clutched your pearls, I hope that by exposing Facebook’s security vulnerabilities it let you know this one thing… If you didn’t build it, you don’t know that it’s absolutely secure.
